The brightest and most persistent color is obtained on the palms and feet, where the skin is rougher. According to traditions, hands are decorated from palm to elbow and feet from feet to knees.
With proper care, the mehendi will delight you for about two weeks. Henna loves warmth! After applying mehendi, do not go outside if the window is cloudy or raining. Better stay in a warm room and drink warming Indian tea.

Instruction manual

Initially, drawing on the skin was sacred, it was believed that certain patterns could protect a person from troubles, attract good luck and even cure diseases. Over time, applying color patterns to the body began simply for beauty and self-expression.
Decide on the pattern in advance. If desired, you can choose to apply an ornament with a value or come up with your own pattern. If you doubt your abilities as an artist, it is better to make a stencil.

Preparation of the composition for a temporary tattoo takes about a day. Some shops sell special henna for the body, but it can be replaced with a regular hair dye.
Squeeze the juice of 2 lemons into a glass or ceramic bowl. Sift 40 g of powder through a sieve, filtering out possible debris and impurities. Combine the juice and henna until pasta and cover with a film, leave for 12 hours in a warm place, but not in the sun.
If you plan a bright orange color, add a teaspoon of sugar and the same amount of tea tree oil to the paste. Add lemon juice to a creamy consistency and leave again for 12 hours under polyethylene.
To get a darker color of the lines, instead of lemon juice, add half a cup of strong black tea or coffee with a spoonful of sugar. Add the essential oil of eucalyptus or tea tree and also leave for 12 hours at room temperature.

Be sure to prepare the skin for applying henna tattoos. Treat the body area with a scrub, dry it, wipe it with alcohol, and then eucalyptus oil to better fix the color.
To get thick lines, you can use a syringe or make a special cone. Roll a bag from a piece of film and fix the edges with tape. Pour the mixture in and gently cut the tip to form a small hole. For finer strokes, use a toothpick or brush. To facilitate the work, you can apply a drawing on the skin with a cosmetic pencil and then simply circle these lines with henna.
